7/25 Bandits Force Game Three
BECKER — The Becker Bandits knocked off the top-seeded Freeport Black Sox 8-7 Sunday in a Lakewood League National Divison playoff game. Freeport led 7-2 through 51/2 innings. Becker score five runs in the sixth to tie it and got the winning run in the seventh.
Kyle Christen led off with a single and eventually came around and scored on Andrew Buchholz's fielder's choice. Eric Walberg, Buchholz and Tony Bergman all had two hits for Becker. Bergman was the winning pitcher, going the distance. Chad Hess and Troy Frieler each had two hits with a double for the Black Sox. Losing pitcher was Nate Winter. Becker plays Freeport at a site and a date to be determined sometime this week.(Sctimes.com)
